Dennis-Yarmouth art students explore, adapt, and develop self-regulatory and personal management skills in a diverse and nurturing environment. Exceptional creative expression and positive achievement happens at D-Y. There is an excellent path of possibilities for creative endeavors and college and career preparation with our experienced, professional, and dedicated staff.
- D-Y offers a wide variety of studio-based fine art courses ranging from introductory and foundational to more advanced skills and techniques including Honors, Portfolio, and Advanced Placement. Students at D-Y proudly receive local and national recognition for their fine arts work and processes each year.
- Technical and conceptual skills based art at various levels and interests are available in all grades. Introductory courses offered include Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Ceramics, Printmaking, and Mixed-Media. In addition, students receive many exhibition opportunities on campus and at local galleries and museums.
- Students are offered professional mentorship, work-based learning, community service and leadership opportunities that relate directly to their specific interests and skill sets. Art educators continuously offer insight to the expansive and ever-growing professional and exceptional careers in the creative industries and human-development services.
