At a glance

Hello Families,

We are thrilled to share that we had an incredibly successful Dolphin Dash this past Saturday! Participation soared with an increase of 100 runners from last year's event. Alongside the race, we hosted a wonderful craft fair that highlighted the amazing things happening at D-Y. From a vibrant farm stand stocked with produce from our garden to creative rock painting sessions led by our dedicated Hope Squad, the event was a true celebration of our school's spirit and innovation. The National Art Honor Society and Art Club added to the festivities with delightful face painting, all of which contributed to making it an unforgettable community event. Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in this showcase of what makes us great, all for a worthy cause.

In addition, our school counseling department hosted a warm and informative senior parent breakfast. Parents had the opportunity to hear from building leadership, the class advisor, alumni parents, and of course, our school counselors. This was a fantastic chance for senior parents to connect and gather valuable insights. If you are the parent of a senior, we encourage you to reach out to your student's counselor for further details on where all pertinent information is posted.

Volunteers needed for our annual Credit for Life Fair, sponsored by Cape Cod 5, on Friday, October 17th, from 8:15 AM to 10:15 AM at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. The event will begin in the Auditorium with a welcome from Cape Cod 5, followed by the main fair in the Upper Gym just before 9:00 AM. During the fair, students will engage in a hands-on financial literacy experience, learning essential budgeting and money management skills they'll carry with them into adulthood.

We are currently seeking 12 volunteers to help guide members of the senior class as they navigate real-world financial decisions and build their personal budgets using their iPads. Please feel free to share this volunteer opportunity with anyone who you think would be interested in helping us out.

Breakfast and refreshments will be provided at the start of the event, courtesy of Cape Cod 5.
