At a glance

Hello Families,

I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our German exchange students who arrived on Wednesday! There's a great adventure ahead for them as they immerse themselves in our school, contribute to our Schnitzelfest fundraiser, and explore the beautiful sights of Cape Cod.

We're also gearing up for the 2025-2026 school year with our continued learning walks initiative. These insightful observations allow us to gather essential data, ensuring we continuously refine our instruction and prioritize student achievement.

Additionally, please check out the attached flyer regarding the instrument collection and repair drive organized by the Yarmouth Rotary. Their ongoing support is invaluable to our D-Y student-musicians, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to them.

Lastly, a huge shout-out to our Unified Basketball team for securing their second consecutive win this week, keeping their undefeated record intact. Congratulations to these outstanding athletes!

Information From Previous Edition

Please view the 2025-2026 Handbook here. After reviewing this year's handbook with your student, please click here to complete the acknowledgement form.

Late Bus Service:
The Late Bus will be available from Monday to Thursday throughout the 2025-2026 school year. It will be stationed at the rear bus port at 3:40 PM and will leave at 3:45 PM. Please remind your student to scan the QR code in the AP suite and obtain a bus pass from Mrs. Williamson.

Transportation and Drop-Off
For parents dropping off their children, please follow the signs and staff guidance by the front of the building. To assist you, a traffic pamphlet is attached for easy navigation.

Athletic Announcements

Athletic Announcement: Below are reminders and updates for athletic events:
  1. For football games: gates open 45 minutes before Kick-off.
  2. Kick off on October 10th is 6pm
  3. Any child not enrolled at Dennis-Yarmouth High School will be accompanied by an adult and supervised for the duration of the game.
  4. Electronic tickets are available using Go Fan.
  5. Ticket pricing is $6 for adults and $5 for students and Senior Citizens.
  6. The D-Y Police Services Unit and Yarmouth Police will be on hand to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.
  7. Games typically end about 7:30 p.m. The D-Y facility will close 30 minutes after the game ends, and all spectators must leave the property. Please make pick-up arrangements accordingly. Waiting on the property after closing is not permitted.
  8. Please be aware of the following rules.
  9. No coolers, bags or backpacks
  10. No outside food or beverages
  11. No athletic equipment of any kind, including footballs, except on the field
  12. No re-admittance (you can only leave the stadium once)
  13. No Pets
  14. All school rules apply at the game. Go Dolphins!
