At a glance

Hello, Dolphins!
I hope this message finds you all well and thriving as we embrace the heart of the school year together. I'm thrilled to commence this edition of our newsletter with a heartfelt shout-out to our outstanding Music Department. This past Tuesday night, our school hosted an incredible Intergenerational Concert featuring all of our talented choral students, members of the esteemed Chatham Chorale, and a few dedicated teachers, alongside Ms. Riley. This unforgettable event was made possible through a generous Creative Experiences Grant from the Mass Cultural Council. We are incredibly proud of everyone who contributed to making this concert a resounding success!

Another kudos goes to our Unified Sports team for their continued undefeated streak—now at 4-0! Go D-Y Dolphins! Your teamwork and spirit are truly inspiring to us all.

As educators and parents, one of our vital roles is to guide our teenagers in making informed choices. It is crucial to educate them about the dangers of vaping. Please remember that all types of vapes are prohibited on school grounds. We encourage you to read the linked article with your students as part of our shared mission to eliminate vaping in schools. If you need support or have questions, please reach out to your child's counselor.

Moreover, we would like to remind families to check with their child's counselor to see if they qualify for free or reduced lunch classifications. This determination can also lead to waived fees for AP exams, SAT, and college applications if students qualify. Information and applications are available through the counseling department.

With the winter season upon us, our school is buzzing with fundraising opportunities and events. Please make sure to check the virtual backpack for information and flyers related to these activities. Your support is invaluable as we continue to enrich our students' educational experiences.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support in these endeavors. Have a great weekend!
