Hello, Dolphins!

We have had a truly remarkable week here at D-Y! I'm thrilled to share some amazing highlights from our school community. Starting off with a huge celebration—our field hockey team has emerged victorious as the MIAA 2025 Division IV State Champions! This incredible win is a testament to their hard work and dedication. Way to go, team! DYMedia1 made a special championship video that can be viewed here. Also, our Unified Basketball team had a great close to their season at the Jamboree at Barnstable High School. They have one more game up their sleeve, so keep an eye out on details! During challenging times, it's important to remember that achievements continue to happen, and hard work should always be recognized and celebrated. Go D-Y!

In this spirit, I want to extend a heartfelt shout-out to our counseling department. They've shown exceptional support, assisting nearly 50 seniors with their applications to Cape Cod Community College (CCCC). We are incredibly grateful for the invaluable partnership we share with CCCC, helping broaden opportunities for our students.

This weekend, we're thrilled to present our fall play, "Lucien's Creed." It's a wonderful opportunity to experience the talents of our student performers, and I encourage everyone to join us. You'll find the performance times listed at the end of this newsletter.

Additionally, we are excited to re-introduce our "Dolphin Shout Outs." This initiative allows teachers to acknowledge students for exemplifying The Dolphin Way: Be Here, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful. Students can tear off their names from the shout-out slips and drop them into the jar at the main office. Once a month, we will draw a name, and the selected student will receive a special prize for their commendable behavior.
