At a glance

Hello, Dolphins!

We had a fantastic shortened week here at D-Y! We started on Tuesday by hearing great stories from the victorious Unified Basketball Game played at TD Garden as part of the Andrew James Lawson Foundation. Great job to the coaches, athletes, cheerleaders, and fans—D-Y was well represented, and the win was icing on the cake!

I’d also like to congratulate Ana Clara Santos for winning the Gold Key Scholastic Art Award this year for her Midnight Sky ceramics and glass set, created in Ms. Starace’s Portfolio class. Stay tuned for more Scholastic Art Award winners in next week’s announcements—13 D-Y students have earned awards!

I am so proud of our Voices Heard Club for organizing meaningful events to recognize Black History Month. They’ve scheduled a guest speaker, a performance, and an inclusive Spirit Week to involve the entire student body. Great work to the club for all of their thoughtful planning. Stay tuned for some amazing updates.

Finally, a reminder that registration for spring sports is now open. The registration deadline is Friday, March 13th, and practices begin Monday, March 16th. To register for a spring sport, please visit FamilyID.

Have a great weekend and stay tuned for weather updates sent via ParentSquare and posted on our website.
