At a glance

Hello Dolphins,
I’m happy to begin this week’s newsletter with appreciation for our Assistant Principals. This week marks National Assistant Principals Appreciation Week! Our Assistant Principals work tirelessly, around the clock, supporting students and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. Thank you for all that you do!

Next, a shout-out to our Music Department for another wonderful show from Winter Percussion and Color Guard. This was a great opportunity for them to perform before their big trip to Dayton, Ohio, where they will attend the World Championship. We also recognize our Social Studies Department for earning a grant to send a group of students to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate. The Institute is dedicated to educating the public about the important role of the Senate in our government, encouraging participatory democracy, invigorating civil discourse, and inspiring the next generation of citizens and leaders to engage in civic life.

We are proud of our Launch to Learn initiative, which teaches students vocational skills and gives them the chance to apply those skills right here in our school building. Pictured below is a student led update to our trophy case and our Launch to Learn class collaborating with Station Avenue Elementary school. Congratulations as well to Music teacher Stephanie Riley on her selection for 2026’s “50 Music Teachers Who Make a Difference” by SBO+ Magazine. We'll keep an eye out for the May issue!

Finally, in recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), the Yarmouth Police Department has launched its annual Start By Believing (SBB) campaign. Start By Believing is a global public awareness campaign created by End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI). As part of this effort, there will be a police vehicle staged in front of some of our schools during the month of April.

We are so proud of all of the accomplishments made by staff and students alike. Thank you all for the work that you do! Have a great weekend.
