At a glance

Hello Dolphins,

As we end Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible dedication, care, and hard work our educators demonstrate every day. From planning engaging lessons to supporting students’ social and emotional growth, our staff goes above and beyond, and we are deeply grateful for all they do for our school community.

This week also brought some wonderful celebrations of student achievement and collaboration. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School band students in grades 8 and 9 visited the middle school to collaborate with our 7th grade band members in a special joint rehearsal. Together, they performed Postwood March, giving 7th graders the chance to play alongside more experienced musicians while connecting with high school band members and meeting DY Directors Mr. Castano and Mr. Pendleton. This experience not only strengthened their musical skills, but also built excitement as students look ahead to their future in the DY music program. We are also proud to share that music teacher Stephanie Riley was named one of SB&O Magazine’s “50+ Music Teachers Who Make a Difference.” You can read more about this wonderful recognition in the publication.

In addition, we are thrilled to announce that our own Catherine Krukowski was accepted into the Hope Squad National Council. Only 50 students nationwide were selected for this honor. We are so proud of Catherine and her leadership in supporting a culture of care and kindness in our school.

We’d also like to celebrate our student artists who were recently featured in the Youth Art Reception at the Cape Cod Cultural Center. Their creativity and hard work were on full display, and it was inspiring to see our students’ talents in grades pre-K to grade twelve recognized and shared with the wider community.

Please note that today marks the half way point in term four for seniors. Progress report grades can be viewed in PowerSchool. Additional term 4 dates are listed below.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our students, staff, and programs.

Thank you and have a great weekend.

New DYRSD Bus Request Form for 2026–2027 School Year

Dear Dolphin Families,
The district has a new transportation request process for the 2026–2027 school year. Families must fill out a transportation form for each student to let us know if bus service is needed for next school year.
To make sure transportation is ready for the first day of school in September, forms must be turned in by June 25.
Forms turned in after June 25 may not be processed before school starts. Returning students who do not submit a form by the deadline will not automatically receive bus transportation. Families will need to submit a late request, which could cause a delay in service.
If you have any questions or need any assistance please reach out to your child's school.
Thank you for your attention to this important deadline.
