At a glance

Hello Dolphins,
What a week it’s been at D-Y HS!

We had an incredible time celebrating our seniors through a full slate of senior week activities. The class did an amazing job representing D-Y out in the community and have clearly shown they are ready for the world beyond our halls.

On behalf of the Massachusetts Association of Teachers of Speakers of Other Languages (MATSOL) awards committee, I am pleased to announce that D-Y's Ms. Djurabaeva's proposal, “Multilingual ABCs Book Project” at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, has been selected to receive a 2026 Linda Schulman Innovation Grant of $500. DY’s Environmental Club has also received a recognition letter for their active participation in the Green Team initiatives from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. D-Y's Green Team's effort and enthusiasm to increase recycling and pollution prevention are examples to our community that we can make a difference for our environment. In addition, our School to Careers Program had the opportunity to collaborate with our Art Department to help support the opportunity for a visiting artist last week. We were able to welcome Diane Heart, from Diane Heart Pottery, who came to help promote college and career pathways within the arts.

Finally, an athletic shout out. D-Y's baseball team defeated West Bridgewater on Monday by a score of 5-0! The team will advance to the round of 16. The team will host Blue Hills Regional Vocational Tech on Thursday at 3pm, here at D-Y HS! Go Dolphins!

It has been a week full of celebration, innovation, and community engagement at D-Y. Have a great weekend and hope to see you at Graduation tomorrow!

New DYRSD Bus Transportation Request for the 2026–2027 School Year

Dear Dolphin Families,
The district has a new transportation request process for the 2026–2027 school year. Families must fill out a transportation form for each student to let us know if bus service is needed for next school year. Please login to ParentSquare to complete the form whether or not your student will ride the bus.
To make sure transportation is ready for the first day of school in September, forms must be turned in by June 25.
Forms turned in after June 25 may not be processed before school starts. Returning students who do not submit a form by the deadline will not automatically receive bus transportation. Families will need to submit a late request, which could cause a delay in service.
*Please note that this is for regular bus routes only, not specialized transportation.
Weekly reminders will be sent to families who have not yet completed the form.
If you have any questions or need any assistance please reach out to your child's school.
Thank you for your attention to this important deadline.
