At a glance

Hello Dolphins,

We are excited to share all that is happening at Dennis-Yarmouth High School as we head into a very busy and celebratory time of year.

Our Spring Musical, The Olympian, takes the stage this evening and Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Students and directors have worked incredibly hard rehearsing for this wonderful production. We hope you will join us to enjoy the show and support D-Y Theatre.

This week was filled with MCAS and Advanced Placement testing as we continue moving toward the end of the year. State testing will soon be followed by final exams, which will provide qualifying students the opportunity to earn their Competency Determination. We are excited for students to have this chance to demonstrate their learning. Today marks the halfway point in term 4 for grades 8-11. Please take a moment to view student's progress reports with your student in PowerSchool. Now is a great time to make adjustment to goals and establish new goals that will support academic success at the end of term 4.

We're excited to celebrate the Boys Track team for being undefeated during their regular season and winning the league. We'll be rooting them on in the Championship scheduled for Monday. Go D-Y!

We are also supporting our senior class as they complete their final weeks at Dennis-Yarmouth High School. We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments, culminating in Graduation on June 6th at 10:00 a.m. here at the high school.

In the spirit of continuous improvement, we are asking for end-of-year feedback to help inform our summer planning. The surveys linked below are tailored to three audiences: students, staff, and families. Please take a moment to share your thoughts—your feedback is invaluable in helping us ensure a successful academic experience for your student.

Thank you for your continued support, and have a wonderful weekend.

New DYRSD Bus Request Form for 2026–2027 School Year

Dear Dolphin Families,
The district has a new transportation request process for the 2026–2027 school year. Families must fill out a transportation form for each student to let us know if bus service is needed for next school year.
To make sure transportation is ready for the first day of school in September, forms must be turned in by June 25.
Forms turned in after June 25 may not be processed before school starts. Returning students who do not submit a form by the deadline will not automatically receive bus transportation. Families will need to submit a late request, which could cause a delay in service.
If you have any questions or need any assistance please reach out to your child's school.
Thank you for your attention to this important deadline.
