Hello Dolphins,
As we approach the end of the year, we have so much to celebrate—student achievements, staff partnerships, and the strong community that supports our schools every day. A huge congratulations to Anna Clara Santos, who received both the Cape Cod and Island Art Educators Scholarship and the Pastel Painters Scholarship, presented at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. We are so proud of her artistic accomplishments and recognition at the regional level.
We also celebrate our seniors who have earned their Seal of Biliteracy, an academic award that certifies high proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in two or more languages. Often affixed to a diploma or transcript, it highlights a student's readiness for college and the global workforce. D-Y students have demonstrated proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Ukrainian, and Bulgarian. We’re incredibly proud of our first cohort and excited to see this opportunity grow.
Our Unified Track team has earned the 2026 MIAA Unified Track and Field Team Sportsmanship Award. The D-Y team was one of only two teams chosen from across Massachusetts, and our student-athletes have represented D-Y and our core values with pride, respect, and integrity on and off the field—way to go, Unified Track!
This time of year, we are also celebrating seniors’ achievements with stoles and cords to be worn at graduation. These additions to the cap and gown recognize accomplishments in academics, service, and specialized pathways. Pictured below are this year’s graduating Innovation Career Pathways (ICP) students, whose hard work has prepared them for success beyond high school.
We extend a sincere thank-you to Cape Cod CPR for their ongoing partnership with D-Y’s Innovation Career Pathways Program. Since ICP began, Cape Cod CPR has provided students with rich educational experiences and resources. On May 26, Cape Cod CPR’s Matt Reagan and a colleague visited Ms. Woolery’s Honors Health Sciences and Honors Anatomy and Physiology classes with human organ specimens for an in-depth, hands-on learning experience. D-Y was one of only two high schools in Massachusetts to have this kind of “up close” experience.
Cape Cod CPR also has a special connection to D-YRHS: the organization was co-founded by alumna Christina Regan (Brown), and one of their physician medical directors, Dr. Lindsey St. Onge (Brown), is also a graduate of D-Y. Supporting our local community has always been central to their mission, and experiences like this show why these partnerships matter so deeply. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue collaborating with Cape Cod CPR and look forward to many more meaningful, real-world learning experiences in the future. Thank you for all you do to support our students and school community.
We are excited to celebrate our seniors next week, and we hope you have a great weekend!
